Igniting the human spirit through yoga. Kula (community) Karma (selfless service) – a better world for everyone. Kula for Karma is a non-profit organization that offers therapeutic yoga, meditation and stress management – at no cost –to those who have been challenged by difficult circumstances. I have volunteered as a “Kula Angel” at the Daughters of Israel nursing home facility in West Orange, NJ. Kula for Karma is a very worthwhile organization to become involved with and I highly recommend looking at all of the opportunities to volunteer.

Kula for Karma, a nonprofit organization partners with hospitals to create custom-tailored programs for patients, offering cancer patients important adjunct therapies, including a gentle beginner yoga class incorporating breathing techniques, guided relaxation, meditation to calm and focus the mind, and postures to facilitate flexibility and balance. The goal is to empower cancer patients to manage pain that may cause anxiety and depression. 

I have completed the yoga for cancer patients training with Kula for Karma. I am
currently developing my practice in order to bring the relaxation, strength and balance to cancer patients.
